MANUFACTURING BUSINESS: A Manufacturing Business produces value-added goods by processing raw materials using machinery, equipment, or skilled labor. Under the PMEGP Scheme, eligible entrepreneurs aged 18 years and above can avail Bank Loans up to ₹50 lakh, subject to project viability and bank approval. The Margin Money Subsidy is 15% (Urban) and 25% (Rural) for the General Category, and 25% (Urban) and 35% (Rural) for SC, ST, OBC, Women, Minorities, Ex-servicemen, Transgender persons, and other eligible Special Categories.

SERVICE BUSINESS: A Service Business provides professional, technical, repair, transport, healthcare, educational, hospitality, or other customer-oriented services. Under the PMEGP Scheme, eligible entrepreneurs aged 18 years and above can obtain Bank Loans up to ₹20 lakh, subject to project viability and bank approval. The Margin Money Subsidy is 15% (Urban) and 25% (Rural) for the General Category, and 25% (Urban) and 35% (Rural) for SC, ST, OBC, Women, Minorities, Ex-servicemen, Transgender persons, and other eligible Special Categories.

TRADING BUSINESS: A Trading Business involves purchasing and selling goods through wholesale or retail activities without manufacturing. Under the PMEGP Scheme, assistance is available only for eligible trading activities covered under the latest guidelines and subject to bank approval. Eligible entrepreneurs aged 18 years and above may receive a Margin Money Subsidy of 15% (Urban) and 25% (Rural) for the General Category, and 25% (Urban) and 35% (Rural) for eligible Special Categories.
